From a Small Assembly Company to a European Subcontractor
How we started
COME WORKS s.r.o. was The company was founded with a straightforward premise: there was a gap in the market for a construction subcontractor that combined the cost efficiency of a Central European workforce with the quality standards, certifications and reliability that general contractors in Austria and Germany expected. The company's original focus was assembly works and structural metalwork — trades where the founders had deep practical experience.
How we continue to grow
The first projects were modest in scale but demanding in terms of quality. Working for Austrian general contractors on industrial and commercial projects gave the young company an early understanding of what the DACH market required: ÖNORM compliance, German-language communication, AUVA safety certifications and a documentation discipline that matched the client's quality management system.
What has not changed
As we have grown, the fundamentals that defined COME WORKS in the beginning have not changed. We are still a company that takes personal responsibility for the quality of its work. We still build long-term relationships with clients rather than chasing the next contract. And we still believe that the best marketing is a project that was delivered exactly as promised.
The Foundation
Before any company existed, there was a team. The founders of COME WORKS began working together on industrial construction and electrical projects across Central Europe — assembly works, welding, electrical installations. These were the years that built the competence.
FIRST INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
The team's first assignments in Austria brought a new level of challenge: ÖNORM standards, AUVA safety requirements, German-language coordination with general contractors. They did not just meet the standard — they built it into their daily practice.
GROWING INTO THE DACH MARKET
By 2015, the founding team had completed projects in Austria, Germany and Switzerland — for clients in the pharmaceutical, energy and industrial sectors. Their reputation was not built on marketing. It was built on a track record that general contractors remembered and talked about.
COME WORKS IS FOUNDED
On 1 December 2017, COME WORKS s.r.o. was officially incorporated in Slovakia. The company was not a new start — it was a formal structure built around a team with nearly a decade of shared experience. The foundation was already there. Now it had a name.
CERTIFIED AND EXPANDING
Three years in, COME WORKS held its full suite of ISO certifications: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) and ISO 45001:2018 (Safety). The electrical division grew significantly, with first works at Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant and hydroelectric facilities in Austria.

Today, COME WORKS operates across Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia and beyond — with 200+ completed projects in nuclear energy, pharmaceuticals, automotive, timber processing and commercial construction. The same quality standard the founders built in 2010 is the one we apply on every project today.

The COME WORKS team is built around two principles. First, everyone who works on a COME WORKS project is qualified and certified for the work they are doing — not approximately qualified, not qualified for something adjacent. Second, the management team is directly engaged in every project — not as distant administrators but as active participants who know the job, know the client and take personal responsibility for the outcome.
